Promoter The competition is organised by Eden Camp Modern History Museum in partnership with Pickering 1940s Weekend CIC (the “Promoters”). 2. Eligibility 2.1 The competition is open to couples aged 18 years or over at the time of entry. 2.2 Entrants must be legally able to marry in the United Kingdom. 2.3 Both individuals in the couple must consent to entering the competition. 2.4 The winning couple must be available to marry on the fixed date of Saturday 10 October 2026. 2.5 Employees, volunteers, contractors, and immediate family members of the Promoters or any organisations directly connected with the prize are not eligible to enter. 3. Competition Period 3.1 The competition opens on Saturday 14 February 2026. 3.2 The closing date for entries is Friday 27 March at 11:59. 3.3 Entries received after this time will not be counted. 4. How to Enter 4.1 To enter, participants must follow the instructions outlined on the official competition post or landing page. 4.2 Only one entry per couple is permitted unless otherwise stated. 4.3 No purchase is necessary to enter. 5. The Prize 5.1 The prize is a 1940s-style wedding experience taking place on Saturday 10 October [year] as part of the Pickering & Eden Camp Back to the 1940s Weekend. 5.2 The prize includes: • Wedding ceremony at Pickering Church • A dedicated wedding planner and point of contact • Photography at Pickering Church • Ceremony for the couple plus up to 40 guests • A 1940s-style wedding car for the couple • Transport for guests from Pickering Church to Eden Camp • Entry for the wedding party to the Back to the 1940s Weekend at Eden Camp 5.3 The prize does not include: • Legal or statutory wedding fees (including church, registrar, licence, or banns fees) • Rings, clothing, flowers, photography at Eden Camp, or decorations unless otherwise stated • Travel to Pickering or accommodation for the couple or guests • Any additional guests beyond the stated number 5.4 The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash alternative will be offered. 6. Winner Selection and Notification 6.1 The winner will be selected by judging panel from the event organisers from Eden Camp and Pickering CIC from all eligible entries. 6.2 The winner will be notified via email or phone within 7 days of the closing date. 6.3 If the winner does not respond within 7 days, the Promoters reserve the right to select an alternative winner. 7. Wedding Arrangements 7.1 The wedding date is fixed and cannot be changed. 7.2 The winning couple is responsible for: • Completing all legal paperwork • Meeting all legal requirements for marriage • Paying any applicable legal or church fees 7.3 If the couple is unable to meet legal requirements in time for the ceremony, the Promoters reserve the right to withdraw the prize. 8. Publicity 8.1 By entering, participants agree that, if they win, their names, images, and wedding may be used for promotional and publicity purposes by the Promoters. 8.2 The winning couple agrees to reasonable media coverage before, during, and after the event. 9. Event Conditions 9.1 The wedding will take place during a public heritage event, and normal event conditions will apply. 9.2 The Promoters reserve the right to alter elements of the prize if circumstances beyond their control require it. 9.3 In the event of cancellation due to circumstances beyond the Promoters’ control, no cash alternative will be offered. 10. Liability 10.1 The Promoters accept no responsibility for: • Incomplete or lost entries • Travel or accommodation costs • Any loss, damage, or injury incurred as part of the prize, except where caused by negligence 10.2 Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. 11. Data Protection 11.1 Any personal data submitted will be used solely for the administration of the competition and in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. 11.2 Personal data will not be shared with third parties without consent, except where necessary to deliver the prize. 12.
