Staying Covid Safe at Eden Camp

We are temporarily closed until further notice under Covid-19 restrictions.

Under the government’s current road map, the earliest we can open is the 17th May 2021, so upon further updates on this, we will release our opening date. Please keep an eye out on our website and social media for announcements nearer to this time.

Once reopened, we will be operating under the guidelines regarding face masks and social distancing. At the moment the below outlines the rules since we were last open, however we will ensure these are up to date when new guidelines are released. Please check back here or contact our team at if you have any questions ahead of your visit.

Many thanks for your support and we hope to see you all very soon!

Please note: Face coverings are now mandatory (unless medically exempt) in our inside spaces including exhibition huts! Please make sure you have yours when visiting!

Over the closure period, Eden Camp has been working hard behind the scenes to ensure that we have a reopening plan in place to make you feel safe, welcome and excited to be back on site!
Check out this video to see the changes in place!

Planning Your Visit

Due to government guidelines, we will be accepting pre-booked tickets only. It means we avoid overcrowding, and you don’t end up disappointed by having to turn you away at the gate. Just make sure to bring your digital ticket to show on entry!

  • Tickets are only valid for the day you have booked.

  • Tickets are non-refundable.

  • Tickets can be transferred to a different date in extreme circumstances. Please contact us directly for this.

  • Due to current circumstances, vouchers and discounts are not available unless they are pre-paid tickets from Planet Offers.

  • If you have already bought an undated ticket from our online shop, please contact us 48 hours before your visit so that we can book you in monitor numbers.

  • Please note on the booking system, there is a £1.00 booking fee.

  • Please note we do not accept American Express.

We strongly advise that you pre-book as we cannot guarantee entry.
To view our ticket options, and for more info please visit our Ticket Page.

Key Changes

  • All members of your group must sign in upon arrival at the museum and again if visiting the cafe. The guidance has now changed; instead of one member of the group signing in, it must be every member. You can do this via the NHS App QR code displayed at key points, or signing your name and contact details at entry points. We appreciate this may cause disruption at busier times, however this a government mandated requirement so please be patient with our staff.

  • Please use contactless payment for onsite purchases as much as possible.

  • Wherever possible, please leave a parking space between you and the next car.

  • Hand sanitiser stations are dotted around our site for your use.

  • We are reinforcing our already existing one-way system around site, please ensure you adhere to this.

  • Our Café is open with limited indoor seating – there is a limited menu due to reduced staffing levels. To see our current menu, please click here.

  • Our Gift Shop is open as normal but you must wear a mask (unless medically exempt) and adhere to social distancing.

  • The majority of our site will be open as usual but in order to ensure your safety, however we have had to minimise the high-contact aspects of our site. Interactive sections such as the rationing board have been taped off to remove any danger of cross contamination.

  • The Playgrounds are open but please take care to social distance.

  • Even with a number of restrictions in place, we still offer the fun and educational Eden Camp experience for all the family including the dog!

With your support and cooperation, we look forward to the opportunity of welcoming you back to the Eden Camp family, not only this Summer but for many years to come!
