Share A Story Competition

We’re looking for the next generation of short story writers!

As part of our ‘Share A Story’ campaign, we are looking for exciting, original, and memorable stories to celebrate Eden Camp and wartime history.

Eden Camp has welcomed the younger generation since its opening in 1987, and schools have valued the endless amount of information at their fingertips to help immerse school children in world war history. The Museum is searching for imagination, creation, and spark to excite and inspire the next generation of history buffs! There are prizes for first, second, and third place, with the top 100 entries added into a new book available online and in the gift shop!

“We have always had such a huge supporting from the families visiting, as well as the education partners; we want to continue this long relationship, extending heritage to the next generation through the endless bounds of imagination.” The museum’s director has said, “We can’t wait to read all the amazing stories inspired by wartime!”

Your entry can be a story, poem, or even a play script if you like! You can write about your visit to Eden Camp, a family member’s experience in the war, or maybe what you think an evacuee’s life would be like – we welcome any format and any narrative, so get creative and WOW our judges!
