AIR RAID AFTERMATH

Indoors, air raid wardens are on hand after a raid to extinguish a burning incendiary bomb and in the kitchen, the on-call nurse dresses the wounds of the injured occupants who have been sheltering under the stairs.

Outdoors, an elderly couple take refuge by spending the night in an Anderson shelter. Learn about gas masks and what to do in an air raid, and ‘Roll a Coin for Victory’ in support of War Weapons Week.
