VE DAY COMMEMORATIONS
On 6th May 1995 as part of our VE Day weekend commemorations we shall be opening our Hut 29, which covers the events of 1945. This includes both VE and VJ Days as well as the Holocaust.
The day will be free for the local residents on proof of address. There will be a band playing, with organised games for the children.
On 7th May 1995 we have a 40's Dance Band performing for the public.
On the 8th May 1995 we are holding a Remembrance Service at 2pm for our visitors where a wreath will be laid in recognition of all who lost their lives. The service will be accompanied by the Swinton Band who will then carry on playing throughout the afternoon. There will also be a Toc-H Peace Vigil for those wishing to attend.
