SPITFIRE ENGINE
Do you remember the arrival of our Spitfire last summer? Well after a long hard search we have managed to locate an original Rolls Royce, brand newm never been used, still in its wrapper, engine.
It will be arriving at the camp at 12 o'clock on 24th June 1992, it is nearly 9 feet long and five feet high and was probably the best petrol engine ever built.
This unique piece of history is being incorporated into a display in our new Hut 26 which covers the Military and Political events of 1942, due to open early September.
