VJ DAY
We have recently recieved a press cutting from the China Mail, Hong Kong, December 1945.
It is unique that it is actually accompanied by the flag that was presented to the Marine Commander Major S D Smith as mentioned in the last paragraph.
The flag with other items will form a unique display for VJ Day in our newly opened Hut 29 which covers the events of 1945.
