1946 PREFAB
On Tuesday 18th February 1992, Councillor Mrs E. Shields will perform the official opening ceremony of our newly reconstructed Prefab.
This will take place at 1.00pm over a cup of tea under the watchful eye of our three "flying duck" ornaments.
The prefab has been painstakingly rebuild over the last year and is now fully furnished in the style of the period.
Originally prefabs were built as temporary housing to last 10 years, however, they became home for most occupants for many years, in fact in some cases they are still lived in today.
