EDUCATIONAL VISITS

Eden Camp portrays life as it was on the Home Front during World War Two, The second phase of the museum covers the Miliraty and Political events of the period.

Eden Camp is an excellent stimulating visit for classes studying "Britain since 1930" and "The era of the Second World War". It covers Core Study units at Key stage 2, 3, and 4 of the National Curriculum History. It is also suitable for many other subjects as well. We have seperate education packs for Key Stage 2 and 3, with activity sheets geared to a Visit to Eden Camp.

This is no ordinary museum, it is a series of reconstructed scenes and by utilising movemens, sounds and even smells, we endeavour to transport you back in time to the most important years of this centuary.

An average visit to the Museum lasts around 3 to 4 hours. We are open Monday to Friday from 16th January to 13th February and then every day from the 14th February to the 23rd December. The hours are from 10am to 5pm, with last admission at 4pm.

Mess huts are available to visiting schools who wish to bring along packed lunches. We also have a Puppet Theatre where live performances are given each day. Both the above are at no extra charge.

The cost for a visit is £1.50 per child and one adult free with every ten children for supervision purposes.

Please do not hesitate to contact the Museum if you require any further details.
